This volume is one part of the encyclopedia »The World of the Kxoé Bushmen« by the africanist, linguist and ethnographer Oswin Köhler (1911–1996). They present his original materials with translations from more than 30 years of field work (1954–1990) on the language and culture of the Khwe (today’s common spelling) in Southern Africa.
Der Autor
Oswin Köhler (1911–1996), Linguist und Ethnograph. Gründung und Leitung des Instituts für Afrikanistik an der Univ. zu Köln bis zu seiner Emeritierung 1977. Neben seinem Lebenswerk, der originalsprachigen Khwe-Enzyklopädie, widmete er sich dem Studium zahlreicher anderer Khoisan, Bantu, Gur und nilotischen Sprachen.
